Higher education is meant to equip students with education in the expectation that it will guide them to securing a job and building their career. In practice, most students lack the requisite work exposure to make them employable. While universities have a pressing need to deliver employment for their graduating students, employers state that undergraduate education delivered by universities does not produce the type of workers that the industry requires.
This has lead to an unfortunate situation, where universities are churning out graduates who are unable to find employment while employers bemoan the lack of talent with requisite experience to fill up a plethora of job opportunities.
